Pap smear/how often?: Recent changes in determination of the frequency recommended for a "pap smear" have increased the interval in your age group to 3-4 years, as long as no abnormal cells have been reported in your past exams. This does not mean that you can put off seeing your gyn provider if other kinds of symptoms occur.
