Hmmm...: All kitchen tools should be reusable to some extent. As they say, "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle." Otherwise, our trash heap keeps growing. Mold is not considered an infectious nasty germ (unlike salmonella or shigella) on an apple cutter. Therefore, rinsing "moldy apple" off of a cutter until the cutter looks clean should be clean enough for general purposes.
