I had a miscarriage on jan. 6th. ive almost stopped bleeding, next saturday will be two weeks since the miscarriage. when is it safe to have sex again? if i should get pregnant before my next period is there any risk to me or the potential pregancy?

Generally wait: Generally we recommend waiting until the after the first normal period before one tries again. There is very little data to support optimal timing of a new pregnancy after miscarriage.
