Excruciating?: If having very uncomfortable tummy pain, and is normally in good health, the possibilities include: gallstones (usually R upper abdomen), appendicitis (usually R lower), kidney stone (very painful), constipation (crampy), twisted bowel, stomach flu, etc... People with "moderate pain" need a doctor's evaluation. "Excruciating pain" often means something bad, thus consider calling for the ambulance.
