See below : Polychromasia is the presence of immature red blood cells in the bloodstream and is usually a sign of bone marrow stress. It most commonly occurs in conditions which call for premature release of red blood cells into the bloodstream when RBC levels are severely low (anemia) such as occurs with iron deficiency, blood loss or hemolysis. Likely unrelated to UTI but recommend you discuss with your MD
