See below : Not uncommon to have irritation of the lower urinary tract for at least 3-5 days and sometimes longer after cystoscopy and stone manipulation characterized by urinary urgency, frequency, burning, and voiding small volumes. Increased fluids (80-100 oz/day) and avoiding caffeine best treatment. Pyridium can be helpful. Sometimes urinary retention or UTI can occur. Contact urologist if persists.
