My son recently lost his big toe nail in a bicycle accident. this was about 3 weeks ago. we have cleaned it every day...and wrapped it for protection. we are on holiday and he is swimming every day. is this good for the open wound?

As long as not in: Pain no need to worry. The chlorine in the pool will act as a disinfectant.
