No: If your pregnancy test is positive and you are concerned about ectopic pregnancy, see you doctor for serial blood levels of HCG and an ultrasound examination. If HPT is negative, you should not be concerned. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

No: all a HPT does is check a pregnancy - you need an ultrasound to check for ectopic

Not always: Sometimes the ectopic pregnancy does not put out enough of the pregnancy hormone to be picked up by a urine pregnancy test. A quantitative blood pregnancy test can be more definitive along with a high MD index of suspicion + ultrasound.

Not reliable: A home pregnancy test doesn't always turn positive when you have an ectopic pregnancy. Best to get a blood pregnancy test to search for one. Best wishes!
