Oil gland matter: The breast has sebaceous or oil glands to moisturize the nipple. If the duct to the skin surface gets plugged the oily substance can oxidize and turn dark (a blackhead) and if expressed this could look like a black dot amidst the normal yellowish sebum. Moist heat will often help open and unblock a blocked oil gland. A too tight bra can predispose to these, especially if perspiring with exercise.
