Need physical exam: Chest pain of course is known to be associated with cardiac disease, however many other causes are more frequent. Gastroesophageal reflux is common cause of chest pain, referred to as heart burn. Musculoskeletal changes related to trauma or inflammation of ribs and muscles around chest can produce pain. The most important thing is to see physician for physical examination and if indicated imaging.
