I have been experiencing heart palpitations, and my heart gives several extra beats. i dont feel very well when this happens. this happens more often than a regular heart beat. any suggestions pls?

Please seek medical attention ASAP, so a clinician can perform an ECG, and possibly refer you to a cardiologist for a holter monitor to assess your heart rhythm over 24hr period, an echocardiogram, and possibly a stress test. See Dr: Need electrocardiogram and physician who knows about heart problems. Need to define heart rhythm. Atrial fibrillation? Ectopic beats? Which kind of ectopics? Why? Valve disease? Thyroid? Other? May, or may not call for therapy.
