At his age, we do: not recommend giving medications for colds. If he has a fever or pain, you can give him acetaminophen or ibuprofen. You can also use saline drops for his nose and suction out the mucous for him with a bulb syringe. Be sure to give him plenty of fluids and ensure he gets rest. Colds go away on their own, but if he is not improving, please have him seen by his doctor.
