A member asked:

What can you do to see a different doctor to your regular family one?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Heidi Fowler answered

Specializes in Psychiatry

That depends..: If it is a specialist - some offices accept self-referrals and others require referral from another medical provider. If you desire a second opinion your physician can often help to arrange this. Quite often, just picking up the phone will do the trick. But, check with your insurance company regarding specifics.
