Chronic urethritis: The urethra is the tube connecting the bladder with the outside. The urethra has many folds which harbor bacteria, and sexual activity can force these pockets of bacteria open. Ask your gyn provider for a referral to a female urologist: dilation of the urethra can open all the folds simultaneously, and antibiotics at that time should remove the cause of these symptoms.
