Occipital migraine: This is classical occipital migraine due to temporary changes in the circulation to the back of the brain. Next time it happens you can occlude one eye, and then the other and you will notice the lines in 1/2 of each eye which is diagnostic. These do not cause any long term harm and they are not due to stroke or tumors of the brain.
