A member asked:

I fell pregnant with the help of fertomid and unfortunately had a miscarriage at 22 weeks due to an incomplete cervix.its been 6 months since the miscarriage is it advisable to take fertomid if i want to fall pregnant again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cervix/abnormal: A "miscarriage at 22 weeks" is unusual, and if caused by an "incompetent cervix" (meaning that the cervix was unable to stay closed to contain the pregnancy) it is advisable to see a physician who is knowledgeable about "high risk" pregnancies before trying again: you may need a simple procedure early in pregnancy to assure closure of the cervix: a "circlage" procedure.
