I had cold symptoms & mild diarrhea + gas. was prescribed z pak & cold symptoms have improved. but now i have burning & painful diarrhea + gas. no prior gi issues. any suggestions on diagnosis & relief?

Zpack May cause diar: If you had a cold it would have been a viral cause. The z pack can cause diarrhea and not treat your cold symptoms. That may be your answer. If your symptoms persist or worsen (if you get a fever or see black tarry stools,etc.,) go to your Doctor. In the mean time, help replace your gut bacteria with yogurt or probiotics and keep hydrated.
