A member asked:

The endometrium is abnormally thickened and measures up to 1.2 cm. 72 year old female no bleeding mean? on a x-ray? what are the odds it cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Endometrium: Either ultrasound or some kinds of "x-rays" ( a CT for example) can measure endometrial thickening, which may be due to benign causes. The measure you mentioned should be biopsied by a gyn surgeon to make certain the cells are not pre-cancerous, even if there has been no bleeding at this point. See your gyn provider for this fairly soon.
