Infection: If tender in one spot when you touch it, it is most likely a style or a chalazion. If so, try hot compresses (warm moist washcloth) on the spot 4 times a day for 3-5 minutes each time for a few days. If not better, see an ophthalmologist. If tender all over, see an ophthalmologist now. Could be cellulitis.
