A very common: geriatric reason for postural hypotension is DEHYDRATION and/or SALT DEPLETION... Try increasing her fluid intake and include some electrolyte containing drinks Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Postural: Hypotension likely related to adverse effects of medications. Consideration to adequate hydration and fall precautions. Internist should review medications avoiding medications that cause orthostatic hypotension like alpha blockers or psychotropics if possible
