"BV": "BV" is a term describing an odor, but is secondary to an infectious process. There are many types of bacteria and some parasites which could be the cause, which may not be sensitive to the treatment given. In addition, if sexual contact has occurred and your partner has not been treated, this may be a repeat infection.
