Menopause?: The average age for menopause is 54. "perimenopause" can be anytime prior to cessation of estrogen production, and includes "skipped periods" and some increases in estrogen production since your eggs are older and take more stimulus to ovulate, producing more estrogen: the drop prior to onset of bleeding can cause both headache and nausea.
