NuvaRing: The "Nuva ring" has an implanted estrogen analog which prevents ovulation effectively if used for three weeks a month. Longer use without replacement may not work well to prevent pregnancy. If you remove NuvaRing after "more than four weeks" and do not have withdrawal bleeding, get an HCG serum test. Four weeks is the safe limit for use, with replacement at that time.
