A member asked:

M 5'8 and weigh 115 lbs. does this have anything to do with my throid gland missing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: If you are taking levothyroxine or thyroid 'pills' to replace your thyroid hormone levels, it maybe that you are over therapeutic - or have too much in your system. Usually, patients with hyperthyroidism have trouble gaining weight (amongst other symptoms). Have your doctor check your blood levels.
