Spotting/medical Ab: Many times ovulation occurs with two eggs instead of only one, which means double the estrogen levels. When estrogen levels drop prior to ovulation, the decrease can cause "spotting" at the time of ovulation, which can be normal. If this continues, see your gyn provider.
