Normal BP: Blood pressure normally varies by this much and often much more, depending on activity, stress, anxiety, and other factors. What's important is the average BP over time, not a few times when higher or lower. 138/97 isn't terribly high and would not cause symptoms of any kind. Maybe your BP is higher because of stress or anxiety. It's probably not the cause of these symptoms but a result of them.
