Obstruction?: This is a peculiar description? Did you have intestinal obstruction? If so, there's really nothing to prevent it from happening again, but you should ask your doctor whether surgery might be possible to prevent recurrence. If you've not been in the care of an abdominal surgeon, ask your doctor for referral.
