Boils? Hidradenitis?: Recurrent skin abscesses in the groin, around the anus, and other moist areas (e.g. armpits) could mean you have a bacterial infection that needs an antibiotic prescription. Another common explanation is hidradenitis suppurativa, which is more complex and usually requires different treatment. See a doctor for personal evaluation, preferably a dermatologist. Good luck!
