Common: It is thought that the close proximity of the breathing muscle & the stomach leads to rubbing that can trigger hiccups. This often occurs late in pregnancy and can persist for weeks off & on after birth. It doesn't seem to bother the kid as much as it does the parents. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
