Need to get checked: out by a healthcare provider. The fact that you have had a cough with some "whooping" quality and wheezing would be signs of bronchitis, which usually requires some medical treatment (antibiotics vs anti-inflammatories vs inhalers vs cough suppressants) not available over the counter.
