2 pills instead of 1: Birth control pills have no effect on induction of ovulation. Over time, the dose of oral bc has been reduced with respect to content of estrogen. There is no advantage in taking two of the active pills a day instead of one, except perhaps one does not have to be as punctual in taking two as opposed to one.
