Yes there is bleedin: The purple means that there’s been bleeding and tearing in the tissue. This is characteristic. You would told you will need ice, you will need to splint or even cast depending on the evaluation. I assume they said to ice it for the first 36 to 48 hours , elevate it and after that you can use heat
