My newborn hasn't poo'd in 2 days.. i give her both formula and breast, she doesn't seem to be getting satisfied on breast alone. what should i do?

Relax: Breast fed babies can have a little smear with each feed or have one big blowout every 7-10 days.Bottle fed kids will poo more predictably & should go daily. If the poo is soft it is not considered constipation. I don't get hung up on babies timing, If they wet a diaper every 4-6 hours they are usually getting enough. Hang in there.

Breast vs. formula: First see your pediatrician if your newborn has no bowel movement in the next day or so. If breast feeding is not enough calories, just increase formula amounts. It is very normal to have to supplement breast milk with formula, and if your newborn's weight is increasing appropriately, this is OK.
