Bruised and sensitiv: After your head injury, it sounds like you had a laceration on your head requiring staples. Discomfort after placement distracted you from the injuries you also received to your neck and the back of your head. As the discomfort of your staples subside, you are no longer distracted by them and are noticing your neck and back of your head. Monitor for a few days, if getting worse, have it checked.
