A member asked:

I had an amplified swab std (clamyd/gonn) test 1 week after possible exposure that came back negative. is one week enough time for accurate results?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chlamydia/gonorrhea: The presence of one or both can be accurately detected by an amplified STD test a week after possible exposure, but if symptoms of discharge/pain occur, see your gyn for an exam.
