Why is there a small very hard flat piece of stool at the end of my bowel movement?

Just a thought: but the end of the bowel movement represents the stool which has been in the bowel the "longest" ! The large bowel not only "stores" the feces but also absorbs water from the material "delivered" to it by the small bowel! The hardness = "dryest" Just a thought and hope it helps! Dr Z
