PrEP, PEP: No injection prevents HIV. If you are repeatedly exposed, e.g. have a known infected sex partner or otherwise at high risk, any doctor can prescribe pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) with anti-HIV pills to take regularly to prevent infection if exposed; or post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) to take after an occasional exposure. Also use condoms and avoid sex w/ HIV infected persons not on treatment.
