A member asked:

My gardener has been diagnosed with tb. how can my whole family be tested? can i just have a blood test ? we do not have any of the symptoms like weight loss or headaches .

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood test/skin test: There are two options to test for possible exposure to TB, one is by a skin test and the other is a blood test. There is not much to choose between those. Talk to your doctor and do get tested. Wish you and you family good health! Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
