Not usually: A couple things to know about MRI is that they usually perform different and often very specific types of imaging to make certain tissues stand out better. So even if the image does catch a portion of the stomach, it may not be the best suited to visualize the stomach. Also it is common that the image is focused on the area to be studied... and in so doing, does not capture many other organs
