Your 1st mistake was: diagnosing yourself. The only way to get any idea of how long it will last is if you really do have a kidney stone. But what if you don’t? With the symptoms you describe, I would NEVER assume that. It could be several other conditions including ectopic pregnancy. You need to be seen by someone who will take a history & do an exam. Relying on Doctor Google is unwise & could be dangerous.

Stones: A few pertinent facts about kidney stones: 1. Stones 5mm or less have a 66 to 85% chance of spontaneous passage. 2. Non-obstructing calculi do not cause pain. 3. Stones can move in and out of obstructing positions. 4. A urologist can be helpful even if the stone is likely to pass spontaneously, by appropriately medicating pain and prescribing a medication that may help some stones to pass.
