"Estimated" FW: The Estimated Fetal Weight(EFW) by ultrasound is just that at 16 weeks, "estimated" as the fetus is small and there is a lot more growing to be done. When you reach the end of the 2nd trimester, your OB MD may be more concerned at that time if the fetus isn't growing about IUGR(Intrauterine Growth Retardation.)
