Shingles? Herpes?: If you have shingles (herpes zoster) or HSV1 involving the auditory nerve, it could cause vertigo and valacyclovir would be appropriate. But vertigo alone is rarely due to herpes of any kind, and valacyclovir would not work. It is almost impossible you have developed genital herpes while taking valacyclovir, and the drug also doesn't cause this kind of side effect. Check w/ your doctor.
