Hard to imagine!: The nervous system processing information constantly. Everything you hear, see, touch, smell, all has to be processed. Your nervous system is constantly having to decide whether these sensations are important or not. You do not become aware until it is important to do so. Some people become aware better than others, and some are aware but select to ignore or block things out.
