Late period/tubal: Tubal ligations are generally successful as birth control, but some may re-open, and since there is damage to the integrity of the tube, the chance for a tubal pregnancy is higher. Get a serum HCG test, and if positive, an ultrasound via your gyn provider. Ectopic pregnancy requires immediate treatment.
