Within an hour: Meclizine works within the hour for most patients I treat in the ED. Some a little longer, some a little shorter. IF this is the cause of your motion sickness. There are many causes of vomiting in young adults and unless you in a car or on a roller coaster, motion sickness is probably not the diagnosis. Call your doctor and make an appointment.
