This is NOT: necessarily true!! There is the opinion that having a partially full stomach helps to PREVENT sea sickness. There is also the "logic" that you cannot actually vomit if there is NO FOOD ("Dry Heaves") Would suggest that there are effective anti-motion sickness medications available! (Used shortly BEFORE the actual motion exposure for best results) Hope this helps Dr Z
