Cellulitis/ abscess: You are describing an abscess or skin infection which may have arisen from an oil gland on her skin or it may actually be mastitis, or infection in the mammary gland of the breast. Start with some warm compresses. I would anticipate the doctor will give antibiotics and may recommend incising and draining it if it is large.
