PCOS: anemia ?: Since bleeding occurs at the time of the "inactive" oral contraceptive pills, and you have a "thalassemia trait", you may be anemic, and the symptoms may be related to a low hemoglobin content. This may need investigation by your healthcare provider, as there are other causes for your symptoms, which are probably not related to your birth control pill cycle.
