Cause of HBP: My first guess is the person has been a smoker which increase risk of HBP. Every cigarette increase BP for at least 30 min. So if you smoke a pack a day (20 cigs) that is 10 hours a day and this may be the cause of your HBP. Check in AM before 1st cig. If you smoke. Discuss with your team.
