Yes: Children usually get vaccinated against whooping cough (pertussis) at ages 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 15 months, 4 years. The dates do not have to be exact, merely approximate. The vaccine is called DTaP, or some combination like that. The booster shot is called Tdap, and is at age 11 years, 21 years; and then for women... one booster during each pregnancy.

Mgt.: Vaccinations are very important in prevention of Pertussis, but infants may still acquire the disease since the protection is not 100%. A flu vaccination is advisable during the flu season. Infants have developing immune systems and are still susceptible to a number of illnesses. If you child has symptoms, please see your PCP.

Likely: In this scenario at least 80% chance of protection, some may say higher. Good on you for getting your child vaccinated on time which is key in reducing their risk of whooping cough
